Curtis
Browne has 30 years experience focused on the strategic
operation of information technology. His innovative
insights in areas including the management of application
development, security procedures, end-user computing,
systems management and system administration have resulted
in radical re-engineering and restructuring policies
that have reduced costs and increased profit margins.
Curtis uses his energy and creativity to accomplish
far beyond his stated tasks. Early in his career, as
a senior programmer for the City of New York Health
Department he re-engineered their computer systems and
was instrumental in prioritizing and streamlining the
organization of hospital facilities thus saving significant
funds for the City of New York.
With his ability to bring in projects within schedule
and under budget, Curtis was invited to become a principal
at Towers Perrin, a privately held company, within a
few years after joining the firm. Towers Perrin is a
global management consulting firm with revenues over
$1.4 billion. Curtis was a valued member of that organization
for 27 years. As an advisor/consultant he directed disaster
recovery, legacy systems integration, assessed and acquired
new technology and managed master contracts enabling
Towers Perrin to maintain long term business relationships.
As Director of Technology Strategies and Security Information
Officer he implemented security policies and procedures
ensuring a viable product. From creation to implementation
and completion Curtis led a $6 M global project to bring
the company smoothly through the millennium transition.
This was accomplished without causing any negative business
impact and within budget.
Mr. Browne's executive responsibilities included extensive
travel to Towers Perrin's many offices around the world
to re-engineer and streamline procedures resulting in
a more coordinated and efficient operation. His experience
in every aspect of information technology and his ability
to connect with his staff and management enabled goals
to be successfully attained.
Curtis Browne received his BS degree in Physics from
The Cooper Union and his MS degree in Mathematics from
New York University. He has attended professional seminars
and coursed in management and information processing
on a regular basis. He is a member of the IEEE Computer
Society and serves as the Secretary of the IEEE of Orange
