Joaquim C. Simoes is an Information Technology Executive with over 20 years of management experience, in industries such as Direct Selling, Professional Services, Packaged Consumer Goods Manufacturing and Food Processing. Most recently, Joaquim served as Senior Vice President and Chief information Officer of Jafra Cosmetics, a global direct selling cosmetics company based in Westlake Village, California, where he implemented a multi-million dollar e-commerce initiative. After four months of going live, online sales reached 20% of total U.S. sales.

Prior to Jafra, he served as Chief information Officer of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Latin American division, servicing a user base of around 8,000 and playing a key global role of geographic IT leader during and after the merger of Price Waterhouse with Coopers & Lybrand, which resulted in a firm of 150,000 people worldwide. He also led flawless Y2K remediation initiatives for both PwC and Jafra. Joaquim also managed the Information Services function for the international regions of Avon Products in New York, NY.

He has a BS degree in Business Administration and an MBA and is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish. He possesses a strong appreciation of foreign cultures and an understanding of doing business in foreign markets.

Joaquim is an American citizen who was born in Portugal and raised in Brazil. He has lived in the United States for over 20 years.
